About The Traveloid

The Traveloid charts 18-30s travels around the world.

The articles you’ll find here are based on the principle that not everyone can or wants to leave home for months or years at a time, but that doesn’t mean you can’t see the world and have a great time along the way. You’ll find tips and advice on how to experience the best that each destination has to offer, helping you to make the most of your time abroad.

Whether you’re looking for ideas for a fun-packed weekend break, what to see and do in top cities around the world, or are after a backpacking experience condensed into a couple of weeks, you’ll find it here.

Contributors to The Traveloid blog are seasoned travel veterans. Posts on the blog are based on real experiences and aim to give an authentic and realistic viewpoint.

Why “The Traveloid”?

The suffix -oid comes from the greek for “resemblance”, and often refers to an imperfect one. Travel is not always perfect – mistakes are made along the way, it can be stressful, and you call fall out with your friends, but in hindsight, it’s when things don’t go exactly to plan, the best travel stories are created.
